looks like embeededcomputers making few other boards.

It runs the bcusb program and has usb to ttl built in? also runs a ftdi chip as well must be for the usb > ttl.

I still want to be able to pull a full backup of this though.

I have one of those, I can tell you it will not work if you flash the latest 1x spi firmware, you have to use an old firmware when the software was known as bcusb, if you only want it for the serial this is also problematic since the latest serial driver will not work either, you have to use an older version of the driver because they dropped support due to pirate chips
