Hot-swapping in and out of DFU mode

I was wondering if switching (#2 ON/OFF) in and out of Bootloader/DFU mode (to load AVR firmware) is safe to do while the Flashcat USB is connected and powered by USB, or does one have to disconnect the USB from the PC every time this is done?

Will hot-swapping in and out of DFU mode harm my Flashcat USB?

U should be fine with that ,, if you hot swap devices whilst the fcusb is still connected then that could cause an issue.

Definitely only do one device (modem/router) at a time. Just that sometimes I plug in the FCUSB and realize its in JTAG mode but I need SPI, so I disconnect, put into switch #2 OFF, reconnect, reset, flash new AVR, disconnect, switch #2 ON, reconnect... Was wondering if I would be fine switching #2 OFF while still connected

Thanks for clearing that up
