Help please with Adesto AT25SL321 1.8V 32Mbit chip

Hello there,

I purchased a FlashcatUSB Pro to program this chip, but I'm having trouble connecting to the flash memory.

It successfully opens it, reports its ID, but then it won't connect. I have tested absolutely everything, including the socket, tried 3 different chips, went through this forum, downloaded some experimental versions, tried all of them - but nothing got me further than the current build 155 which is what I began with.

I also tried various manual settings and every single frequency, but that didn't help. I would be grateful for your assistance, if we can get this going we are likely to purchase more to put them in a production type environment. Hopefully you can assist!

Regards,
Sam

Well the good news is that from a hardware point everything is connected and working correctly. But your Flash device is not in the official FlashMemory database. Please message me your email address so I can send you a link to the working beta version.

Finally got the message with the updated file and whala it works! - fantastic, thank you very much for your prompt attention to the issue, solved all problems.

If I may say something, add a little.. I would like to suggest that you add an OK button to the mode protocol settings page. Simply adding that, will give a sense that any changes that are being made there, are actually being transferred properly to the s/w.

Right now, you go there, make changes and the only option is to hit the cross to close the window. The only change that seems to give feedback is the frequency change, but the rest you're left thinking / wondering if the effort has any effect on the rest.

I certainly tried making subtle changes in the settings according to the spec sheet of the flash chip and that didn't work, so was always wondering if the changes were being carried out.

An OK button would be nice.

Thank you once again for your assistance!
