December 20, 2016: FlashcatUSB Professional is now available for pre-order, this new PCB 3.x version includes over 10 times the performance of the previous generation.

Introducing the new hardware version (PCB 3.x) with over 10 times the performance of the last generation. This upgraded version includes an all new chipset, integrated power supply controller, easier to use connectors, and a runs using a single firmware with all of the previous FlashcatUSB protocols and features supported.

NICE!!!
I don't think I need to upgrade but I really, really want to just for the heck of it.

Please post more pics and point out what the different pins are used for.

Hopefully i will get some more pics from the developer soon but so far we have this for pinouts.

Yeah it is good he changed it to the way you showed , saves soldering to the board continuously

I have the new V3.xx PCB FlashCatUsb Pro but no documentation and no operational software.
I'm very desappointed.
What software to used and what driver to install ?

Windows software Flashcatusb_pro V110 (beta) Don't recognize the external interface TSOP48 type B (NAND Flash), driver USB for the tools is OK
Windows software Flashcatusb V430 (beta) don't detect tools ??????????.

Goal is : Read and write to Micron MT29F1G08ABAE with TSOP 48 type B

I used windows 7 or 10.

Thanks

Fpartice: the software for FCUSB pro is taking longer than expected. This is because the new chipset is drastically different than the AVR8. You have to keep in mind that FCUSB AVR8 has been developed over a 10 year period.

Now I am testing the beta version of FCUSB Pro V120. This version adds full support for the extension port (NOR x8, x16, and NAND SLC x8). This version will be posted later today.

But there is one issue, when using the NAND adapter with FCUSB Pro, the adapter needs a pullup resistor (0805) value of around 4 to 5K (I recommend 4.75K), to be soldered on the pad between the two sets of pins. This is needed, as this adapter was originally used with FCUSB 2.x, and the AVR has an internal pullup resistor that would work, but the new board uses a voltage shifter, and this does not allow the line to be controlled in that matter. If you can't get a suitable resistor, contact EC and they will mail you one to put on.

Also, here is the performance testing results for PCB 3.0 using V120 software:
SPI READ: 700KB/s
SPI WRITE: 360KB/s
NAND READ: 400KB/s
NAND WRITE: 430KB/s
NOR x16 READ: 150KB/s
NOR x16 WRITE: 70KB/s

Hy Pantheon,

Can you specify on which pin I have to solder the resistor ?
I am looking forward to using the new software.

Thanks

It's my config :

Driver is OK
FlashCatUsb status : connected

Unable to detect any Flash device

@ fpatrice2008 , you have your cable in the wrong port on fcusb pro

Hi,
Tsop48 Adapter Type-B can program this device --> H27U1G8F2B ?
Thanks.
