It is on an HP M2n68-LA REV. 1.01 MOBO. If you could add that chip to FCUSB thank you.

Most likely the SPI chip on that motherboard is already supported, can you find the SPI on the PCB and read the text on it?

Yes I was able to read it; It is:
SST25VF040B. fLASH CATusb DOES NOT RECONIZE IT, AND i DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE MANUAL SETTINGS WOULD BE. aNY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

As you can see from the screenshot, the flash is supported... The problem has to be with your connection, if you provide more detail like what version FCUSB you own, how you are connecting to the flash.

I own a Flashcatusb classic with latest software, and I am in spi nor mode, It tries to autodect in spi mode.
Hope that helps

More details are that i am using the HP/compaq spi header pinout, picture attached. and for the FCUSB i got the pinout from the manual.
I jkust can't figure out what settings or "operation commands" to put into the section under "use these settings" . In the FCUSB software.
since it is not detecting the chip. I have read the data sheets for the Microchip SST25VF040B chip.
Thanks in advance
