no flash detetected

hi i used to program 18 pin spi flash with 3.3 v with flashcat device with no problem.its been wile i forgot things. no when i connect 16 pin soic it says flashcat connected.but when i hit f1 itsays no flash is detected?
i had hooked 3.3v from out device to pin 2 please tell me. soon as i hook soci lights turn on but no flash detect.please tell me if i am doing some thing wrong?
 
i flashed few modems without any problem.with 3m soic clip no i soldered straight to the flash.still same thing.
no i try to upload pic it wont let me do tht it says error occurred?

Can you show the connection to FCUSB as well ??
Zooming in on the picture it looks as if Pin 8 is touching Pin7 with the way it is soldered ?? Can you verify.
 
hi i followed the documentation and connected the wires the way it showed and applied 3.3 v from custom made 3.3 voltge regulator.as you see the lights are aon of the modem soon as i applied 3.3v.i do have acknowledge of jtag fixed many wrt54g with usbjtag and dream boxes.i spoke to embededed computers the said the flashkat is bad ship it back and we will ship you newone.lets see here are the pics.

Your connections seem to be correct , what version of the fcusb software are you using as well as firmware version ??
Also try to use the power from pin9 instead of the external one , i just wish to verify you have the same outcome
 
it used to work like this like charms.
i tried 392 thats what i was using all the times also tied 406,408 without any luck
 
What firmware version is on the fcusb ...
Does it connect to any other SPI devices ? trying to rule out any issues with the fcusb itself..
 
when you start the software it will show you all the relevant information on the console window ,,firmware version etc.
 
That is the firmware version for the V1.x fcusb's , you should be using the latest firmware which is 4.13 for your rev.2.x device
